Role Summary
As the SAP Finance Product Owner, you will partner with digital teams and finance business users to implement finance solution for the GE Aviation Services business. You will lead gathering of requirements, prioritizing features, and partnering with cross-functional teams in delivering solutions in SAP Finance. You will work on continuous improvement or ERP deployment projects in the SAP Finance domain.
Responsibilities
In this role, the product owner will have the following responsibilities:
Work with cross-functional teams to execute the entire delivery of project in SAP Finance domain
Document the detailed requirements and perform fit-gap analysis with the business stakeholders
Manage the communication, operating rhythms, and engagement with all project stakeholders
Prioritize continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer needs
Collaborate with the digital technology team members (Product Architects, Developers, Enterprise Architects, Functional consultants) to implement the solution
Own the planning, coordination, and execution of the testing cycles and cutover for the projects. This includes System Integration testing and User Acceptance testing
Develop the training material and partner with product architect in providing training to business users Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance functional domain involving SAP ERP performing business process and solution design, master data preparation, testing, training, and documentation Good experience with Finance accounting
Must be willing to travel based on project needs Desired Characteristics
Experience in leading Finance IT projects involving enterprise level technology solutions like ERP
Knowledge of SAP finance and controlling (FICO) processes and interdependencies with other functions (order management, billing, materials)
Good knowledge of finance processes including Closing and Reporting, Inventory management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Revenue recognition, Fixed Assets, Costing
Good project and stakeholder management experience
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to coordinate multiple projects
Ability to work with global and cross-functional teams
Effective problem identification and solution skills
