Job Title: Lead SQL DBA

Location: Lansing, MI (Onsite Role)

Duration: 6+ months Contract

Job Description:

• Responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems.
• Manage SQL Server databases including SQL Version 2008, 2008 R2, 2012,2014,2016,2017, 2019
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes
• Experienced with backups, restores and recovery models
• Monitor system's health and performance
• Experienced on handling Cloud databases like Azure, AWS EC2 instances is added advantage
• Oracle knowledge / hands on experience expected
• Hands on with data management within Snowflake environment is additional bonus
• Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security
• Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
• Experienced with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
• Provide suggestions for solutions
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
• Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
• Provide primary support for critical, complex production db's
• Work closely with internal teams during incidents resolutions and root cause analysis
• Coordinate interaction with different internal teams, create service tickets and escalating as needed to ensure timely resolution
