Job Description
Job Title: Composite Manufacturing and Design Engineer
Location: Kinston, NC
Job Type: 12+Months Contract / Full Time
Job Description:
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Aerospace / Production Engineering
- 10-15 years of experience in Manufacturing, Planning and Quality inspection for Composite airframe structures
- Experience in visual work instructions (VWI using 3DVIA) , NC programming and machining and CMM inspection
- Should have worked in project proposals, ability to present capabilities to OEMs and Tier1
- Hands on experience in composite manufacturing processes such as Vacuum bagging, RTM, VARTM and Autoclave using pre-pregs and other forms
- Specialist in planning CFRP manufacturing (Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastics)
- Able to propose manufacturing processes and act as an interface to the plant suppliers and to work on new production processes if necessary.
- Strong Coordination skills with design, Materials and Tooling departments in the constructive design of the components as a production representative.
- Exposure to certification regulations of EASA and FAA will be an added advantage
