Job Description
Position: Financial Analyst
Location: Dakota Dunes SD 57049
Duration: 8+ months (Possibility of Extension)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Utilize mainframe accounting or an integrated accounting package.
- Develop complex spreadsheets to analyze data and track monthly variance analysis.
- Collect and analyze financial data.
- Compare actual versus budgeted numbers on the income statements and explain variances.
- Maintain general ledger by gathering and posting entries and performing reconciliation.
- Maintain accruals and prepaid expenses.
- Reconcile general ledger balance sheet with assistance from Staff Accountant.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end closing.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, updates, and strategic plans.
- Prepare quarterly consolidation reports for consolidation.
- Assist with the maintenance and application of internal controls.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Skill Requirements: SQL, Excel, and QMF.
