MLOps Engineer (m/f/d)

What we do

Merantix Labs is an external Machine Learning department that provides tailored AI solutions across companies in e.g. healthcare, automotive, retail, fin-tech. We take advantage of three core competencies: our experience in machine learning, our expertise fostering enterprise partnerships to assemble vast datasets, and our culture of rapid iterations to build scalable products.

Your role

The purpose of this role is to build and maintain our Infrastructure (software development, model training and ML solutions production). In order to make this happen, you will work closely with our machine learning & software engineers and will also be performing DevOps for machine learning pipelines.

These will be your main responsibilities:

• Building, setting up, maintaining and improving our Infrastructure (Model training, deployment and tools)
• Automate and improve our infrastructure management process
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Planning out ML projects and being involved in project management decisions
• Support our customers with infrastructure and DevOps tasks in the adoption of our solutions

Your profile

The ideal candidate loves to interact with our team members and clients, identifying areas of improvement of our infrastructure, and brings excellent technical skills in order to ensure a robust product ionization of our machine learning models. We are looking for driven, capable, and prudent talents with proven track records of personal, academic, and professional achievement. Our hierarchy is flat and communication direct, which means that we operate and learn fast, as a team.

You are a great fit for our team if you have:

• BSc/MSc in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field
• More than 3 years of experience with Python and bash
• More than 3 years of experience with one or more of the following cloud providers: Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure.
• Previous experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. terraform or ansible)
• Experience developing automated CI/CD pipelines (Cloud build, Jenkins, Circle CI, Travis, or similar)
• More than 3 years of experience running and monitoring distributed systems with Kubernetes and Docker
• Understanding of IT infrastructure Library (ITIL), Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Fluency in German and English
