Job Description

Our client, the bank institution of a famous automotive company, is looking for a Customer Service Representative Payments (m/f/d) to join the French collections team in Berlin. The collections department is the one responsible for loss mitigation through negotiating with customers to reach a payment arrangement and therefore, reducing the risk of a potential credit loss. Tasks

- Reaching out to delinquent customers using telephone and email

- Finding the most optimal way to convey the message and persuading the customer by applying your conversation and negotiation skills and innovative approach

- Conducting extensive research both online and through the optical archive to find contact numbers and email addresses of clients that cannot be reached

- Designating and optimizing conversation strategies to identify and cope with different customer attitudes

- Continuously endeavoring to improve your contact and persuasion strategies by giving and receiving peer feedback and listening back to recorded telephone conversations

- Cooperating and liaising with colleagues of different departments based in France on individual matters such as customer complaints, correction of invoices, and so on

- Handling bankruptcies and preparing criminal complaints in case of embezzled vehicles

- Steering and managing third-party agencies based in France to arrange for repossession and transport of vehicles and remarketing

Requirements

- Bachelor's or higher degree in economics, banking or accounting is desirable

- Business fluent (C2) in French and fluent (C1) in English

- Preferably some experience in credit collection, ideally in a bank environment

- Experience in working in a customer service environment will be a plus

- Great negotiation and interpersonal skills
