Job Responsibilities:
- Creates an effective project management approach that fits best in planning and managing the work, which may use the Agile Framework, a more traditional technique, or a hybrid model.
- Uses traditional project management practices such as big up front planning (kick off sessions), project plans, status reports, critical path milestones, schedule compression, weekly meetings
- Creates project implementation plans which includes scope, cost, schedule and team members
- Provide vendor support to teams, working with Supply Chain through SOW and RFP Process
- Vendor Management
- Working with the Project Coordinator, supporting onboarding process
- Promote Agile Principles and adoption of Scrum/ Kanban, when applicable
Provides Resource Planning
- May work with project lead to develop resource strategy and assist in mobilizing and building team structure
- May support escalations related on onboarding activities of staff aug/ vendor system integrators
- Identifies, escalates, and follows through on any impediments team cannot solve and promotes independent resolution by team
- Promotes transparency of issues & risks
- Sets up and Maintain project artifacts
- Examples may include, but not limited to based on approach used, Azure DevOps, WIKI, Microsoft TEAMS, project plan, risk register, dependency tracker
- Working with Project Coordinator and Product Leadership Team
- Supports definition and creation of initiative scope and estimating
- Supports capital and resource forecast, including cost and budget
- Supports Business Case and PCR's submission to adhere to IT governance process
Working with Tech Lead and/or Product Leadership Team
- Supports and coordinates completion of key processes including, but not limited to: SOX 5059/5040 forms, NTAP, Security Compliance Assessment
- Supports and coordinates GO/NO GO Management calls and deployment activities (including change management readiness)
- Ensures action items from critical project/ initiative meetings are captured (example include, but not limited to vendor meetings, etc.)
- Notifies IT Governance on ER status (in service date/closeout, etc.)
- Creates a collaborative and constructive environment which allows the team to work effectively and encouraging a high level of engagement and trust between the team members
Promote Agile Principles
- Supports transparency, inspection, and adaptation and promotes continuous delivery of highest value features and frequent feedback loops
- When used, facilitates Agile ceremonies to ensure full team engagement
- Enables a culture of metric ecosystem to support continuous improvement
For example: Release Burn Up, defect tracking
- Supports product team's accountability to roadmap deliverables, including visibility of interdependencies
- Supports the team in achieving in the vision and strategic goals by providing value added data and metrics
- Ensures high degree of quality in product delivery
- Demonstrates domain knowledge of product delivery and scope of work
