Description:
Client is looking for a controls or automation engineer that can:
- Build and maintain a test lab of OT equipment/devices such as PLCs, HMIs, DCS, RTUs, Drives and Industrial Network Switches from multiple vendors
- Help teach software development teams how to correctly interface and integrate with the multi-vendor OT equipment/devices, particularly to extract diagnostic and monitoring information (using standard and proprietary protocols)
- Simulate test scenarios of manufacturing issues and use diagnostic tools to investigate (e.g. manufacturing incidents/issues, downtime, disconnections, wear and tear, etc.)
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience as a controls or automation engineer and commissioning and maintaining OT equipment/devices from multiple vendors in factory automation projects
- 1+ years experience planning equipment layout, tools and IT programs needed, and designing or contributing to design of manufacturing automation workflow.
Remote work is allowed from any state, but travel will be necessary to set up and maintain the test site in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
