Project Overview

This role will require the individual to work with various to teams to build out the pipelines to consolidate the consumers' data, be able to provide it to the consumers, and create a UI for consumers to navigate how they want this data to be utilized at the firm. The technical business analyst will be a part of an Agile Squad and the role will require analyzing processes, applications, and tools, as well as defining requirements and data logic, and supporting execution of projects to deployment. The analysis will include but not be limited to gap analysis, system analysis, and impact analysis. They will proactively contribute to changes in data infrastructure and flows, and act as experts in their area working with and facilitating discussions with relevant parties including developers, QA, UAT, and Product Owner(s).

Job description

Minimum 7 in a large complex banking organization or major consulting organization focused on a Business Analysis type role or equivalent

Familiarity with Agile Processes, Ceremonies, and Structure as the role involves supporting one or more squads

Familiarity with using JIRA or equivalent software to document and track user stories

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment

Goal-orientated, self-motivated and adapts to changing situations and requirements

Comfortable coordinating dependencies across several teams and systems

Strong organizational and analytical skills; must be detail-oriented

Bachelor's degree or higher degree in technical field or equivalent

Previous experience working on a regulatory project or build

Data driven, ability to write moderate to complex queries to perform adequate analysis on data for requirements gathering

Data modeling experience (e.g. SQL, SAS, Dataiku)

Familiarity working with large datasets, Teradata / Data Warehouses, proficiency with SQL

Background in the Financial Services Industry, with an emphasis on wealth management

Working with Business and Development teams to determine required solutions and assisting in implementations

Understand the enterprise architecture and the different systems/components involved such as Services, ODM, Databases, UI's ,BPM

Documenting business and functional requirements, including data flow, business rules, and use cases

Document the end-to-end architecture of the solution

Performing thorough analysis on the business requirements to ensure as many use cases are accounted for prior to starting development

Information gathering activities such as analyzing and evaluating processes, products, and services by using a variety of internal and/or external data

Understanding and being able to translate data logic and data transformations

Assisting the QA and UAT teams during testing phases of the project / sprint and supporting Development teams in resolving any bugs that arise

Assisting with Scrum ceremonies and driving ongoing Sprint Planning and Backlog Refinement sessions

Coordinating meetings with various business unit subject matter experts to solicit and cross-reference business and functional requirements

Resolving any Production issues or data quality inquiries with Business and Development teams through investigation into the root causes
