Job Description

Understanding data-center compute and storage requirements

Create network plans and configure networking infrastructure
accordingly

Interconnect datacenters using relevant technologies like IPSec/WAN
links

Support cloud engineering team in setting up virtual networking for
private cloud setups.

Innovate new tools for automating network configuration to drive down
the time for each deployment

Setup network monitoring and alerting systems.

Resolving network events globally.

Providing support for incoming tickets, including troubleshooting
tasks and resource coordination to resolve network events globally.

Supporting field technicians in daily operations and activities as a
point of contact.

Supporting the RMA and repair processes for network devices.

Internal and external partner notification and workflow coordination
and follow-up to maintain service level agreements.

Creating and improving simple, repetitive processes that increase both
velocity and quality of delivery.

Directed project work.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in a technology related field or equivalent
experience to a bachelor's degree

4+ years' experience with internet routing protocols and concepts:
TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, ISIS and/or OSPF.

3+ years' experience with network operating systems such as Junos.

3+ years' experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems
such as LAN, firewalls, routers and switches

Strong understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP models.

Experience in multiple transport layer protocols like ethernet and
infinity band

Experience troubleshooting layer 1 and 2 network problems.

Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures.

Past experience with, and expertise in many of the following protocols
& technologies: DWDM, SONET (OC3, OC48), 802.2/3, 802.1d VLANs/STP, IPv4
& IPv6, TCP (internals & flow control), BGP, OSPF, HSRP/GLBP, PIMv2,
IGMP, LDP, RSVP, TACACS, IPSEC & VPNs, Netflow, DNS, HTTP.

Strong analytical skills.

Ability to multitask effectively.

Ability to articulate technical solutions through abstract thinking.
