Middleware Build Engineer

This is a Middleware Build Engineer position to support a team of skilled MW administrators within the CUSTOMER Distributed organization. Provide L3/SME support for Middleware platforms covering Application Servers and Web Servers systems.

This is an Infrastructure systems administration position to support and a team of skilled Middleware SAs within the CUSTOMER organization. Provide primary support for Middleware platforms covering the support of middleware on different operating systems. Core responsibilities involve planning and assigning various set of tasks related to middleware administration, routine system maintenance, infrastructure product management and ensuring optimal middleware support for corporate applications.

Provides technical guidance and direCustomeron in area of specialization within technology infrastructure. Solves / works a variety of high impact, high-profile problems / projects with considerable business impact through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, performs root cause analyses. Performs impact analyses on project support activities. The individual will be responsible for overseeing all Infrastructure initiated deployments such as VTM patching, Middleware upgrades, Application Server Performance, Application and Web Server installations, Change request review, ESM change reconciliations and vendor escalations. Automate processes and improve efficiencies. Develop innovative solutions and scripts to automate deployment of packages and patches. Be the subject matter expert across operating systems. Assist in MIM investigations and resolution. Ensure consistency of compliance processes. Adhere to corporate and business specific policies and consider appropriate controls as part of day-to-day responsibilities. Exhibits good knowledge of how specialization within area contributes to the business and good understanding of products and services.

Customer Technology Infrastructure provides the products and services that enable Customer's workforce, along with most of the financial solutions that Customer's customers rely on. We provide the critical technical foundation for Customer's operations through the infrastructure that runs business and general user computing services.

This role is within the support structure for Mexico which provides L3 technical advice and assistance to L2 and L1 Middleware SAs.

Key Responsibilities:

Build a high-performance production support team with the right talent mix to exceed client expectations

Be responsible for problem management including managing outages, resolution, co-ordination with stakeholders and communication

Ensure control processes are in place in alignment with Customer policies

Provide 24x7 on call problem resolution

Support Engineering and Business projects.

Review request for changes (Business and Functional requirements, etc).

Troubleshoot to determine root cause of problems in Production environments

Pro-active analysis and monitoring of Production applications

Implement workarounds and temporary fixes

Perform Application and Middleware logs analysis

End-end Incident tracking and client follow-up, including post-mortem

Work with 3rd level support (Product owner, application owner or Vendor) to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Define and execute Contingency plans for applications (COB)

EOL, EOS Track and fulfilment

Participate on Technical Audit review

Support Engineering architecture definitions

Provide support to Capacity Planning and Performance Management teams

Coordinate Middleware Installations

Knowledge/Experience:

This position requires a minimum of 5+ years on web middleware and in-depth knowledge of industry-standard web middleware technologies.
