Job Title:Complaint Lab Receiving Clerk
Location (On-site, Remote, or Hybrid?): Alameda, CA (ONSITE)
Contract Duration: 2 MONTHS.
Work Hours: 8AM - 4:30PM
POSITION IS FOR 2 MONTHS.
In addition to default job duties:
Job duties will involve handling/disposal of Clinical returned Glucose monitoring devices which are to be treated as biohazardous.
Completing self-training on existing protocols
Sanitizing of used (biohazard) Glucose sensor Readers
Tracking and organizing bulk returned products
Lifting up to 50 lbs
Sorting of returned devices based on intended final disposal method i.e. incineration, recycling etc.
Description:
This position is NonExempt. Hours over 40 will be paid at Time and a Half. This is a fast paced assignment including data entry as well as hands on work to receive products returned due to customer complaints. Involves overtime (daily/weekends) to help meet department goals. JOB REQUIREMENTS-- Receipt of customer returned product, logging product into the database, and separation of product dependent on areas the product is to be forwarded to.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES --
*Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
*Receiving, opening, organizing and staging packages of returned products.
*Responsible for the accurate and timely receipt, logging in and separation of returned product for investigation.
*Maintaining storage of retained returns. *Any other tasks assigned by management to meet lab goals.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS--
High School Diploma Preferred knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVD's and Biologics.
Must have familiarity with PC ACCOUNTABILITY/SCOPE: Ensure all products being received are accurately and consistently logged into the database.
All products are logged in and forwarded on for investigation in a timely manner.
Failure to meet these requirements can result in product investigations to take longer than the time allotted thru accepted departmental procedures and cause complaint closure to be out of compliance both within procedures and those of regulatory agencies with whom we must comply.
