ABOUT THE JOB
Each child is an individual, a member of a family, and part of the community. Through our nationally recognized Child Development Center (CDC), we offer protective, supportive and nurturing programs which help young children through those of elementary school age.
Within our Brownsville CDC program, we are seeking a Parent Advocate to assist with parent engagement and education, as well as provide case management and advocacy services to parents of young children in Early Learn sites and in treatment at the Early Childhood Treatment Center clinics. Parent Advocates will provide support from the perspective of a parent, based on their own life experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalency
Relevant lived experience as a parent of a young child, 0-5, with developmental or mental health challenges
Prior experience working in human services, child care or early childhood education is preferred
Ability to work with diverse social, cultural, and economic groups
Ability to travel to various sites
Good communication and listening skills; Spanish/Creole language is preferred
