Confer with the company to identify and gather functional and spatial requirements for commercial real estate development projects in California. Prepare mock-ups and drafts of proposed interior plans utilizing specialty rendering software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite package, Lumion, and Enscape, review and estimate material requirements and costs, and present plans to clients for approval. Work with contracted retail, visual, and operations professionals to ensure that design plans meet functional requirements. Arrange for the production of custom furniture, millwork and lighting. Research and source alternative finish materials that will yield cost savings. Review, analyze and make recommendations on the improvement of existing designs, plans and specifications. Ensure that the installation and arrangement of interior accessories, including flooring, millwork, wall and window treatments, and other related fixtures are executed according to plan. Assist in the selection of contractors, receive and review bids, and address requests for information (RFIs). Conduct periodic on-site observation of work in order to ensure compliance with applicable state rules and regulations and design intent. Identify and propose solutions to resolve issues that can adversely impact project schedule, cost, or design integrity on projects.
Occasional travel to projects in California is required.
Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as Interior Designer, Architectural Designer or related. Related experience must include experience with the California Building Code and experience utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite package, Lumion and Enscape.
