Note: Should be able to manage & co-ordinate 6-8 Data Engineers in India Time Zone and work closely with NA DEs and collaborative effectively. (able to work onsite offshore model)
We are looking for a candidate with 10+ years of experience in a Senior Data Engineer lead role, who has attained a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or another quantitative field. We are looking for a hands-on, talented SENIOR DATA ENGINEER - LEAD to join our rapidly expanding team in NA.
The DE Lead need to be working in Vancouver preferably but if the person can be accommodative in PST time-zone as well should be good enough.
Essential Skills and experience:
10+ years of developing data solutions Refer below Table for tech stack and key responsibilities.
Good understanding of Data Processing Frameworks, Orchestration Frameworks (like Airflow).
Should be able to manage & co-ordinate 6-8 Data Engineers in India Time Zone and work closely with NA DEs and collaborative effectively.
Deliver updates to stakeholders based on analytics.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Expertise in full data stack: ETL/ELT, data analysis, storage, data pipelines, Orchestration
Hands on experience in relational databases (PL/SQL, Postgres) etc.
Experience with Version Control (e.g. git, github)
Cloud Experience (AWS)
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a Scrum team & well co-ordinate with development team in different Time Zone.
They should also have experience using the following software/tools:
Experience in building and optimizing 'data solution using PostGreSql' data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases e.g. AWS Aurora Oracle, Teradata etc.
Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools e.g. Airflow, Jenkins etc.
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes.
Possess good communications skills to understand core business objectives and build end-to-end data centric solutions to address them.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Work with DE team Mentor & guide data engineers on their deliverables.
Develop, construct, test and maintain architectures.
Align architecture with business requirement.
Data acquisition.
Develop data set processes.
Use programming language and tools.
Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
Use large data sets to address business issues.
Deploy sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods.
Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
Find hidden patterns using data.
Use data to discover tasks that can be automated.
