Job Description

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse

FocusPoint has Travel NICU Assignments in multiple locations.

We are currently seeking an experienced team of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurses. The ideal candidates should have recent travel experience and intensive care experience.

Estimated Overall Assignment Amount: $16,848 to $24,804+ | plus per diem & housing

Estimated overall Weekly Amount: $1,296 to $1,908+ | plus per diem & housing

The estimated above totals are based on a 13-week assignment and working the listed number of hours per week in addition to available stipend amounts; eligibility may vary subject to company policy and applicable law. Please contact us for full details.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse Requirements:

  • Active RN License as may be required
  • RN degree from an accredited registered nurse program
  • AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and AHA PALs Required
  • 6+ months of NICU nursing preferred (Varies by assignment)

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse Wage Benefits:

  • $36/hr to $53/hr
  • $54/hr to $79.50/hr OT
  • Estimated weekly (36 hours): $1,296 to $1,908+ (plus per diem & housing)
  • Weekly Per Diem Varies by location
  • Weekly Housing: Varies by location

Neonatal intensive care unit Nurse Responsibilities:
Providing round-the-clock care to premature and severely ill newborn infants.
Caring for the basic needs of infants; for example, feeding and changing diapers.
Performing medical procedures; for example, inserting intravenous lines, performing tests, and administering medications.
Assisting the NICU physicians in medical procedures and treatments.
Using and adjusting specialized medical equipment.
Formulating nursing plans and evaluating the effectiveness of treatments.
Comforting ill newborns and anxious parents and family members.
Offering support to parents and family members and educating them on the at-home care of their newborns.
