Job Description

Operating Room Nurse

FocusPoint has Travel OR Assignments in multiple locations.

We are currently seeking an experienced team of OR Nurses. The ideal candidates should have recent travel experience and operating room experience.

Estimated Overall Assignment Amount: $20,800 to $36,400+ | plus per diem & housing

Estimated overall Weekly Amount: $1,600 to $2,800+ | plus per diem & housing

The estimated above totals are based on a 13-week assignment and working the listed number of hours per week in addition to available stipend amounts; eligibility may vary subject to company policy and applicable law. Please contact us for full details.

OR Nurse Requirements:

  • Active RN License as may be required
  • RN degree from an accredited registered nurse program
  • AHA BLS Required
  • AHA ACLS Preferred
  • 6+ months of OR nursing preferred (Varies by assignment)

OR Nurse Wage Benefits:

  • $40/hr to $70/hr
  • $60/hr to $105/hr OT
  • Estimated weekly (40 hours): $1,600 to $2,800+ (plus per diem & housing)
  • Weekly Per Diem Varies by location
  • Weekly Housing: Varies by location

Responsibilities:

  • Providing surgical patients with perioperative care in recovery, procedure, and operating room.
  • Stocking operating rooms with sterile surgical equipment, linens, and supplies.
  • Developing and implementing nursing care plans for surgical patients.
  • Preparing patients for surgery by cleaning and disinfecting areas to be operated on.
  • Assisting surgeons during surgical procedures.
  • Applying sterile techniques in handling medical instruments and equipment pre-, during, and post-surgery.
  • Updating patient files and medical records.
  • Providing patients with post-surgery care instructions and answering questions.
