Job Description

Unit Supervisor III

Client: John Deere

Shift: 1st shift (7:00 am to 3:30 pm)

Contract: 12 months

Pay rate: $39/hr

Location: Waterloo Iowa 50703

Description:

This position will work 1st shift (7 am to 3:30 pm). Overtime is likely.

Maintenance Supervisor - Some weekend/holiday work may be required. Resource needs to be capable of coordinating, scheduling, and providing leadership to hourly wage employees on non-routine and self-directed tasks required to meet safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency objectives.

Required: 2 or more years of production/manufacturing supervisory experience is required. MS Office experience, including Excel. Must have great people skills and a great communicator. Must be organized and have project management experience. Looking for candidates comfortable with leading hourly employees and working in a factory environment. 2-year technical degree or applicable experience is required.

Interviews will be conducted onsite or via MS Teams. Position will start onsite on the first day. Business casual dress code. Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position. Safety shoes with internal metatarsal protection required for first day. There is a possibility the person will drive their personal vehicle to other Waterloo locations for meetings. May also drive a Deere owned Gator on the shop floor after completing safety training.
