In this position, you will support the e-Mobility Group as a charging hardware design engineer to be part of the Charger Engineering team, based out of Portland, OR. This includes responsibilities as an engineer to aid in the development of charging stations for commercial vehicles through both proprietary development as well as partnership arrangements. This position provides opportunities and responsibilities to learn and teach the global organization about charging and charger development.

In the ever-evolving world of electric vehicles, you will also need to improve the client's competitive market position by keeping up to date with state-of-the-art equipment for commercial fleet charging and relevant industry standards as well as developments in the energy industry. It will be critical also to study e-mobility topics outside your immediate responsibilities. This broad knowledge is critical to the success of ZEV commercial vehicles, as you will be seen by many as an expert not only on the charging hardware but an expert representative for the vehicle and e-mobility movement overall. Job Responsibilities:
Analyze and design market charger hardware
Support the validation plan for charger hardware
Support the client's Electric Island and manage charger manufacturer relationships
Understand customer use cases and help implement design ideas for a unique and seamless experience
Closely monitor the market for future charging opportunities
Actively educate yourself further on relevant topics for the ecosystem of electric truck charging (e.g. decentral energy resources, charging standards, public infrastructure)

Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering or Electrical Engineering
Experience with MS Office required
proficient in Windows operating systems
Strong oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills required
Creative mindset with the ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment required
English (fluent) required


Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
0-2 years experience required.
