Job Description

Classic Granite and Marble INC. (CGM), a London based, multi-generation company, is a fabricator of natural stone proud of being able to show you the most interesting varieties of granite, marble, limestone, quartz, quartzite and sintered slabs available in Southwestern Ontario.

CGM continues to grow and is excited to hire a new team member. We are currently looking to expand our team and looking to hire a Finance and Administration Director.

The Finance and Administration Director, under the direction of the General Manager, is primarily responsible for all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, as well as the overall administrative management of the company. The role will be a hands-on and participative manager that will lead and develop an internal team to support multiple corporate functions such as finance, administration, and human resources. This is also a leadership position that plays a prominent role in shaping the strategies, rules, and regulations for the company.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist the General Manager on the companys strategic plans, financial, administrative, human resource management and overall development
- Work with internal functional departments to oversee and lead annual budgeting and financial planning process; establish and update companys anticipated performance goal and conduct financial forecast
- Assist the higher management in determining companys investment and operational goals, provide insights, ideas and analysis on investment and corporate expansion options
- Manage and review financial data and adjust financial plan and goals accordingly; monitor changes of financial figures and problems, then effectively communicate with management regarding the companys financial status
- Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements to the higher management
- Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices, contract management and financial management/reporting system; manage companys cash flow and forecasting to support operational requirements
- Guide and supervise cross-function day-to-day operations to ensure the company is running smoothly
- Prepare recruitment plans, supervise, and manage all interviews and employment contracts; develop comprehensive training program regarding staff, equipment, policies, and procedures
- Supervise and manage the administration staff to ensure the accurate and timely Staff Attendance, payroll, and performance evaluation
- Coordinate closely and transparently with all external partners including vendors and consultants
- Work with other teams to prepare and organize marketing activities, such as presentations, workshops, and exhibitions, etc., and make sure all the activities are in line with the budgets
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree or above in economics, accounting, business admin, or other related field
- 5 years of professional experience in finance and administration aspect with minimum of 3 years as a director/manager in a profit-driven enterprise
- Proven experience of at least 3 years in a leadership role in corporate financial planning, investment, analysis and budgeting
- Extensive knowledge and understanding on financial management practices, tools and methodologies
- Proven strategic planning experience at the management level and experience of final responsibility of all financial data, reporting and audit coordination
- Demonstrated experience supervising employees, as well as reporting to and working with senior leveled leaders
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize and work with internal staff and external partners
- Keen organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
- A multi-tasker in a fast-paced environment
- Overseas work experience and bilingual are preferred

Salary: $42.00/hour

Work Location: London, Ontario

Terms of employment: Full time, 40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year
