SUMMARY:


Apply principles of accounting to determine proper transactions to record financial activities. Analyze financial and credit information to assist in customer credit evaluations. Prepare reports for management.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Maintain accounting records for accounts receivables.

  • Submit invoices to customers using a variety of methods including mail, e-mail, and online portals. Invoicing US Government orders through WAWF and IPP.

  • Work with customers to provide support, resolve issues, and collect past due invoices.

  • Apply cash payments from customers. Ensure daily/weekly/monthly totals agree with bank statements.

  • Process credit card payments from customers.

  • Process credit memos as necessary and once approved, apply to customer account.

  • Assist in prepare weekly/monthly reports, including forecasting cash receipts from customers.

  • Prepare month-end reconciliations for accounts receivable related accounts.

  • Assist Credit Director in preparation and maintenance of credit files for customers. May include compiling a variety of financial and credit reports for review and analysis.

  • Monitor areas of responsibility for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company SOX procedures.

  • Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.

  • Assist outside auditors at year-end to include preparing schedules, providing explanation of supporting materials and procedures, and preparing any other necessary data.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related business degree.

  • Zero (0) to Three (3) years related experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word.

  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills required. Must be detail oriented.

  • Able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Able to read and understand financial statements.

  • WAWF and/or IPP experience a plus.
