Hybrid Work - Need Data Scientist in Boston MA

Location: Boston, MA. MUST BE LOCAL *Hybrid onsite 3 days/week from 1st day *Please note, client has an onsite vaccination policy. Please Note: Manager is seeking data scientist with strong technical experience (Python, SQL, Tableau Candidate of choice will report to the Lead Data Scientist. Financial services experience considered a plus but not required - technical background and experience a priority. Description Using discretion and judgment, the Data Science Analyst will collaborate with the Data Science Lead Analyst, or equivalent manager, and other members of Compliance to analyze and evaluate large quantities of data. Leveraging advanced data analysis skills, this position will create, develop, and create innovative approaches to answer compliance questions and design automated solutions to compliance processes. This role will apply a data-driven analytical approach to a variety of business problems related to compliance. Principle Responsibilities Data Preparation 20% Data Collection Data Cleaning Data Analysis and Model Development 20% Model design Model development (descriptive, prescriptive and other advanced techniques) Testing Implementation Dashboard and Reporting (SharePoint, Tableau) Maintenance of existing Models 20% Maintain issue logs Analyze issues Bug fixes Automation of manual tasks 20% Robotic Process Automation Python Project Coordination 10% Coordination, communication, and collaboration with Compliance, IT and Data teams Jira Board monitoring Project Documentation- 10% Create and maintain Model Documentation Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, or related discipline. 5+ years' work experience in a Data Analyst/Data Scientist role, co-op and internship experience can be applied. Proficiency and experience in Python and Data Science/Artificial Intelligence packages. Knowledgeable R and/or SAS. Experience with analyzing complex, high volume, high dimensionality data from varying sources and both structured and unstructured. Fluent in SQL; Familiarity with data warehouses. Familiarity with building data visualization dashboards using Tableau. Willingness and ability to quickly learn new technology and apply it to achieve business objectives. Advanced knowledge of machine learning /statistical techniques (e.g., regression, decision trees, gradient boosting, random forest), data mining, natural language processing, etc. Optimization of models and deploy them to run at scale. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and work effectively with people at all levels in the organization. Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively and willingness to understand the business, legal and compliance implications of a wide variety of data. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Master's degree, especially in Data Science, preferred Knowledge of data mining software. Familiarity with cloud computing and ETLs. Experience in deep learning and Artificial Intelligence
