JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reduce non-conformities by statistical analysis and pareto methodology
Develop and implement product-specific quality processes utilizing sound engineering judgment and methodologies
Work with operators, supervisors, and other engineers to improve the manufacturing process to reduce non-conformities.
Detect and track non-conformances and lead the process of root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive measures
Improve manufacturing requirements and instructions by getting direct feedback from operators and other manufacturing engineers
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & BACKGROUND
Bachelor's Degree BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment is REQUIRED
Experience with Project and Schedule management
Ability to apply continuous improvement methods to increase manufacturing quality, efficiency, reliability, and cost effectiveness
Familiarity with gas turbine combustion hardware is preferred specifically transition ducts and combustor baskets and the methods of
manufacturing these parts i.e. CNC programming/machining, welding/fabrication, laser drilling, and thermal spray coatings
Familiar with Lean &/or Six Sigma philosophies & their application in process capability and improvement
Fluent in Excel to analyze defect data.Minitab experience is a plus.
Detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
