Role: Azure Cloud Architect

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cloud Architect role will deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Plan and design methods for the optimization and integration of various forms of technology systems or policies and high-level principals.
- Apply varied engineering and design theories to produce robust, integrated functioning of various systems, technology interfaces, and/or overarching information policies and high-level principles.
- Assess the functioning of overall technology and communications systems and end-to-end processes and look for ways to upgrade and optimize systems and processes in the future.
- Work across the architecture and technology organization to ensure effective implementation, architecture compliance, and conflict resolution.
- Implement selected solutions in the Azure Cloud environments.
- Build the DevSecOps program vision and strategy covering all aspects from architecture, design, development, and deployment
- Build and publish application standards, design patterns and secure coding standards for web and mobile security
- May participate in other ad-hoc projects to upgrade or install cloud components, workstations, networks, or software, or to assess and optimize overall functioning of technology, data, and processes.
Requirements
Skills/Tools:
- Experience designing, building, and implementing architecture within Azure cloud environment.
- Working knowledge of cloud configuration and container lifecycle management products: Kubernetes, Mesos, Istio, Docker, etc.
- Experience on infrastructure automation/orchestration facilities using Terraform, OSB/CRDs, Python, basic shell scripting, and the like.
- Expertise in networking and/or network security with a working knowledge of common protocols -- routing protocols, IP segmentation, foundational TCP/UDP concepts, etc.
- Foundational and functional understanding of how API works (RESTful, SOAP, Websockets, Federated Auth flow)
- Experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, DoDAF, FEAF, etc.
- Working knowledge of PaaS product offerings in large-scale enterprise environments that have a blend of older (legacy) technologies and nextgen practices, with a focus on building extensions and customizations on products such as Azure.
- Experience with Azure security solutions Defender, Sentinel
- Azure Architecture certification (Professional preferred).
