  • Be part of a team as a Sr Advanced Project Engineer with the interest, aptitude, and experience associated with the design, development, integration, and qualification of Aerospace Actuation products leading Commercial and Defense programs within our Honeywell Mechanical Systems and Components product line. You will be the technical leader and primary decision maker for program cost, schedule, and technical issues. You will lead prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and drive overall program performance throughout the development lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program/Project Management
  • Cost account management skills in the SAP environment
  • System and Component Requirements analysis and decomposition
  • Control architecture and design
  • Physics based model development and system design
  • Root cause and corrective action planning and execution
  • Mechanical Systems validation & verification
  • Customer technical interface
  • Work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • 8+ years of Engineering experience in Complex Aerospace Systems
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident due to export and ITAR restrictions

  • Understanding of business objectives and more importantly the ability to interact with our customers
  • Business acumen knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application within the industry
  • Mechanical/Actuation Systems design and/or component controller integration
  • Experience with systems requirement flow down
  • Experience with DOORs
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience developing motor driven actuation systems
  • Experience with systems requirement V&V
