SENIOR SAP ANALYST: FINANCE OPERATIONS - PET
OVERVIEW:
As the Pet segment for General Mills, Blue Buffalos ambitious growth objectives are connected to an equally ambitious technology and innovation roadmap. If you want to play a key role in the delivery of this roadmap, we have an immediate need for a professional with both business and SAP FICO configuration experience, preferably with HANA (Reporting & Profitability Analysis). This person is passionate about their work and wants to see the immediate impact of their efforts.
The Senior SAP Analyst Finance Operations will play an integral part in formulating and delivering solutions and enhancements, working directly with various business partners, IT leadership and external service providers to deliver value to our business and support strategic initiatives to help enable GMIs accelerate plan.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Drive solutions delivery in the areas of Financial Planning & Analysis, Supply Chain Finance, Commercial Finance and Brand Finance, leveraging multiple systems, including SAP, HANA Sidecar (Reporting & Profitability Analysis), HFM (Hyperion Financial Management), Blackline Accounting Solution, BluePlanner (Trade Promotions Management) & AFC (SAP FI Close Tool)
Apply knowledge of financial integration and reporting to collaborate with finance business stakeholders in providing solution recommendations, and planning business needs and priorities
Design solutions and provide business requirements to development teams/data architects, lead testing cycles to ensure outcomes meet agreed designs, and promote new functionality to production
Apply strong knowledge of SAP FI and COPA configuration, with skilled understanding of underlying SAP financial table structures and data elements, to design enhancements and support profitability analysis solution
Apply knowledge of critical integration areas, GL cost center & profit center master data, material master data & profitability analysis
Partner with key financial stakeholders to lead governance process
Provide first class service and support of existing financial processes & systems to meet business needs
Prepare functional specifications, proactively facilitate knowledge transfer and user adoption of new and existing solutions
Help to manage the Blue Buffalo D&T teams catalog of test scripts and lead end user testing efforts for major projects.
Contribute to data gathering for internal and external audits
Cross-train to allow workload balance across the team
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in CIS (Computer Information Systems), MIS (Management Information Systems), Business Administration, or Operations is preferred
Equivalent work experience considered
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills within SAP ECC or other SAP systems
Proven financial experience in corporate financial reporting and analyzing data
Experience in one or more of the following: FP&A, Supply Chain Finance, Commercial Finance, Brand Finance, Plant FICO
Demonstrated ability to analyze and support systems, as well as partner with technical team to design and implement
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment yet be independently productive
Ability to organize, prioritize, follow-up and ensure execution of multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
A strong sense of accountability, ownership and pride in work performed with an eye towards continuous improvement
Comfortable with using meeting and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Hands-on SAP FI and COPA configuration experience strongly preferred
Prior CPG experience is a plus
Previous experience in a managed services relationship where system configuration and development are outsourced either as the client or as the service provider is a plus
If based in the Wilton office, must be comfortable working in an environment with free roaming pets
Up to 20% travel may be required, depending on location
Basic understanding of HANA Sidecar or Business Warehouse experience (nice to have)
