Siemens SI-CTO is looking to hire a seasoned, process-centric Director of Operations and Customer Success, reporting to the Head of Emerging Platforms within the SI-CTO organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful delivery and ongoing operation of the multi-faceted set of solutions comprising DepotCo, managing the project planning, timing, vendor management, full deployment, and ongoing physical and virtual operations of all managed services being provided to the customer. Customers comprise one or more of the following stakeholders


Commercial Electric Fleets of Truck/LCV electric vehicles currently rolling out from OEMs;

Commercial Bus fleets, including municipal, commercial, education, and govt fleets;

Government owned/managed fleets converting to electric transportation

Vehicle OEMs (including Truck, Bus, and LCV manufacturers as core channels to market;

Real Estate companies looking to electrify properties on behalf of commercial fleet tenants;

Utilities or Independent Power Providers engaged in providing energy-infrastructure/grid-access/storage/PV to commercial fleet operators.



What part will you play?

As the operations and customer success leader, you develop project management and solution delivery strategies that will successfully ensure service level agreement (SLA) and operational capabilities to achieve the right set of metrics and extreme satisfaction levels to customers on behalf of this incubated business platform.

Solutions will comprise a Transportation Management Software Platform, building and electrical equipment, EV charging hardware, and managing outsourced partners to provide EPC, design, civil works, and ongoing operations/maintenance.

A successful candidate would be


Provocative and creative. You will manage and directly engage with program and regional project management personnel directly involved with the communication, project management, delivery timescales. You lead financial bid management and drive co-creation needs for customers and partners, consult customers on finance, infrastructure, and energy matters, e.g. financing solutions, energy generation and access, and XaaS business models.

A trusted business partners.Act as a business partner to the COO of Smart Infrastructure and be jointly responsible for the operational setup, administration, and performance of the incubation unit.

Innovative leader.You empower and balance a team of highly skilled and engaged employees across the business units and regions (i.e. sales, service, IT, procurement, etc..). Act as an outstanding role model, by building a culture of innovation, teamwork, ownership, and trust

Strategic and solution focused.You lead all aspects of project management, business operations, and program development, ensuring to manage all stakeholder expectations, primarily those of end-use customers; reporting, and ensure compliance with Financial Reporting Guidelines.

Deliberate collaborator. Develop and nurture a long-term trust-based relationship with key internal stakeholders and partners, with financial services, tax and, support functions to ensure efficient risk management and internal control systems.Focus on new business models and their applicability in line with external and internal accounting and reporting guidelines.

Transformative minded Drive digitalization in finance and improve financial processes to allow for transformative business innovation.



What you need to make real what matters:


Education: Degree or professional certification in either Operations, Engineering, or related field

More than 10 years of experience in commercial leadership roles in infrastructure or energy, including service and results-oriented business models

Demonstrated history of increasing responsibility and ability to lead and inspire

A results-driven, customer-centric, and hands-on mindset with intercultural sensitivity and the ability to collaborate with teams across various business units and partners around the world

Profound understanding of internal business processes from project execution, managed services, and sales to performance-based services

Strong operational, project-management, leadership, interpersonal, and analytical skills

Ability to work closely with all disciplines within the business and to rapidly build a high level of acceptance as the key advisor for all financial related topics

Ability to build trust internally and externally through clear communication, credibility, and leadership

Senior experience with C level customer relationship management, capability to translate customer requirements into scalable offerings

Expertise in IFRS and Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines (SFRGs)

Willingness to take calculated risks and drive breakthrough innovations

Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken

Experience for the candidate will include a track record of successful structuring and planning of complex delivery to commercial transportation and operations of financial packages within at least one of these key markets:


Transportation and Delivery networks for commercial trucking and bus services

Energy, including renewable, markets, and storage

Automotive/Transportation OEMs, including companies delivering trucks, buses, and LCVs

Commercial financing of transportation and Infrastructure


The successful candidate will have a knowledge, passion, and fundamental understanding of renewable energy generation, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, the enterprise software platforms managing these, and the packaging and financing of these services.
