Our client company is seeking an experienced engineer to provide leadership and direction to suppliers to ensure their products are in compliance with Tier 1 or Tier 2 company and industry standards.
You must be willing to:
Attend daily plant production meetings/provide weekly updates on supplier quality/charge back status
Recommend adjustments to scope/priorities for incoming inspection checks
Support any production line activities related to APQP/PPAP/PTRS/IATF 16949 related audits
Administrative requirements regarding OSHA/ISO/TS 16949/ISO 14001
Support new program launches
Establish a regular exchange platform
Requirements (IF YOU DONT HAVE THESE, DONT APPLY)
BS in Engineering (MS Preferred)
5+ years in Manufacturing Quality/Supplier Quality for Tier 1 or Tier 2 Automotive industry
Solid background in problem-solving skills (5WHYs/8D/Fishbone/Red X/etc.)
Experience with core quality tools (SPC/APQP/P/FMEA/PPAP)
Experience/training with IATF 16949/ISO systems/Lean Principles/Continuous Improvement/Six Sigma desired
Experience/knowledge in metallurgy/forging/machined casting desired
