Medical Teacher / Module Leader (m/f/d)

EDU is the first institution of higher education in Europe to offer an interactive, hybrid study programme in human medicine. EDU students learn the scientific and practical basics of human medicine via a digital campus and, from the first trimester, engage in practical phases in teaching hospitals. With this unique concept, EDU combines practical and theoretical education in an effective way and can scale medical education where needed.

We are now looking for experienced medical doctors to lead medical students worldwide on their learning journeys. The focus of your work will be to provide learners in a particular module with guidance, feedback, and support. You will facilitate classes via a virtual learning platform and guide the students in their problem-based learning.

Tasks

The key responsibilities of the Module Leader will be the following:

• Prepare and conduct virtual classroom sessions following the flipped-classroom principle;
• Facilitate Problem-based learning sessions online;
• Assess and grade students work;
• Provide feedback to the Curriculum Team to improve the entire programme;

Requirements

Your Profile

As a Module Leader, the following education and skill sets are needed:

• A medical degree;
• Practical experience in medical education (training and/ or development);
• Excellen command of spoken and written English;
• Excellent communication skills as well as the ability to influence across groups;
• Experience working within cross-cultural and diverse work environments;
• Problem-solving skills and an ability to find a way forward as well as work with challenges;
• Ideally 10+ year's experience in clinical practice;
• Knowledge of blended learning concept (is an advantage);
• Experience with Adult Learning and Training Platforms;
• Experience with Problem-based Learning (PBL);
