Back-end Laravel Developer (3 days in Brussels office / 2 days remote)

Tasks

• Develop, record and maintain cutting edge Laravel PHP applications
• Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team
• Prepare and maintain Shyfter Core code utilizing standard development tools
• Utilize backend data services and contribute to increase existing data services API
• Assisted by a senior dev, you will be part of the entire web application development life cycle right from the concept stage to delivery and post-launch support
• Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues
• Document the development process, architecture, and standard components
• Keep up-to-date with new trends and best practices in web development

Requirements

• Previous working experience as a PHP / Laravel developer for min 2 years
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or similar through experience
• Familiarity with caching services (e.g., Memcached, Redis) & sockets servers
• Fluent in English and a good level of Dutch or French
• In-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel 7+ PHP Framework
• Hands-on experience with SQL schema design, REST API design
• Software testing (PHPUnit, )
• Git has no secrets for you
• MySQL profiling and query optimization
• Creative and efficient problem solver
• Tools like Pusher and Sentry are your best friends
• Experience or interest in DevOps / Docker
