Job Description

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive our growth. This pivotal role is an opportunity for a sales rock star with an entrepreneurial mindset. Your responsibilities include lead generation, forging relationships with key merchants, and closing deals. This will include cold calling, cold emailing, conducting phone and in-person meetings, and attending events and conferences. Because Fintico is so young, there is a great deal of opportunity for the role to grow with the company.

Tasks

What you will do

  • You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing on sales opportunities for Fintico, especially with a view on winning key merchants for our Embedded Lending Marketplace.
  • Build and drive your prospects list via your personal network, the use of relevant databases as well as attending relevant events and conferences.
  • Generate and follow-up on business opportunities via phone, email, and professional networks.
  • Identify decision makers in target companies and secure meetings to secure the deals.
  • Negotiate commercial contracts and onboard new merchants with us as well as our partner banks.
  • Guide new merchants through our technical integration process in collaboration with our founders.
  • Diligently track your sales progress using our CRM tools.

Requirements

What we are looking for

  • At least 2 years of sales experience in the B2B space (preferably in payments, software, and/or retail).
  • You are an excellent communicator and very skilled at presenting and pitching via various mediums (phone calls, video calls, emails, messages, events).
  • You think and act as an entrepreneur. You are highly motivated to take ownership, find hands-on solutions and drive impactful results.
  • Good technical understanding of payments and shop systems is a plus.
  • You are business fluent level in German and English.

Who will you work with

Jan founded Fintico in 2022 and is responsible for the product and sales side of Fintico. He is an experienced professional in the international payments industry. His experience of 15 years spans virtually all segments of the payments value chain, including steps at Deutsche Bank, EY-Parthenon and Barclays. Jan holds a bachelor s & Master s degree from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Mgmt. and an Executive MBA degree from Warwick Business School.
