Job Description

Purpose of JobWe are currently seeking an Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Analyst Entry Level to participate in Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) Fellowship Cohort 23-1 with USAA. This is a Hybrid opportunity for our San Antonio, TX, Tampa, FL, and Charlotte, NC facility.

Within defined guidelines and framework, performs a variety of duties to assist the Enterprise with compliance of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), USA PATRIOT Act, and other anti-money laundering program requirements. Team is responsible for reviewing transactional data to detect and raise potential suspected money laundering and terrorist financing activities to AML Investigations or AML Special Investigation

Job Requirements


Primary Responsibilities:

Uses an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) case management tool and other internal software-driven systems to assist the team with tasks to monitor, research and analyze trends.
May assist with identifying potential solutions that monitor, detect, or prevent money laundering or terrorist finance activity and works within regulatory and compliance requirements.
Performs tasks in support of operations for the AML functional area assigned.
Applies foundational functional knowledge to produce work deliverables in support of departmental initiatives.
Stays updated with AML rules and regulations.


Minimum Qualifications: [education and min requirements are combined under this header]

Bachelors degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Up to 2 years of related experience in general analysis or research activities.
Knowledge of financial services to include industry practices and business operations.
Possess written and oral communication skills.
Previous experience using MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications:

Current participant in the Cohort 23-1 Hiring Our Heroes Fellowship Program.
Experience in finance and investigations/research with transaction analysis.
Exposure reviewing multiple alerts in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Compensation

Hiring Our Heroes fellows are paid by the HOH program.
If selected for a full-time role, USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. A geographic differential and/or shift premium may be applicable for this role, depending upon where and when this job is performed. The salary range for this position is: $43,680 - $73,800

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
