Reporting to the Plant Finance Manager, you will use Microsoft tools to bring SAP financial, LEDS operational, KRONOS payroll, and other master data sources together to create analysis, summary charts, and drill down capability designed to educate, inform, and drive cost saving actions in a manufacturing environment. Presents zero based analysis and recommendations to management. Acts as a leader to less experienced staff. Effectively leads small teams and works well with small ad-hoc project teams. Areas of responsibility include: Finance, Accounting, Product Costing, Financial Systems, SOX Controls. 5 years related experience.
Position Responsibilities
Create zero based analysis, performance metrics, trends, and drill down capabilities relevant to Operational team members to drive down per unit costs
Partner with our Continuous Improvement team to identify cost savings projects and develop ROI models for capital projects
Collaborate with plant and department managers to align on annual budgets and interpret weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial metrics
Update the monthly forecast for the plant based on business changes. Actively communicate changes to business partners with drivers, risks, and actions.
Lead the development of metrics, scorecards, and reporting for the plant
Maintain production recipes and develop standard costs (BOMs & Routings)
Analyze yield, labor, and overhead variances
Participate in month end close journal entry preparation, including identification and resolution of unusual items and issues in a timely manner.
Support assigned SOX controls and audit requirements
Position Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required
MBA or CPA/CMA certification a plus
5+ years of professional general business and financial experience
Background and experience in P&L management, along with knowledge of financial systems and general accounting concepts.
Experience effectively working across multiple departments to complete a project or resolve an organizational challenge.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.).
Experience with SAP, Tableau, SharePoint, and Power BI a plus
Demonstrated critical thinking skills, including leveraging analytics, benchmarking, and insights to generate meaningful strategies and solutions.
