The Paralegal/Contracts Analyst is primarily responsible for the administration of legal documents, such as reports, policies, agreements etc. Further, they also support the local and regional legal departments in all administrative legal issues. Maintaining and organizing the legal archives also fall with their responsibility in addition to any other administrative task needed in order to support the legal department.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and negotiating contracts, both for customers and suppliers
- Identifying risks in Supply Chain contracts
- Monitoring deadlines (e.g. patent filing, insurance claims etc.)
- Drafting letters and/or various legal documents
- Administration of powers of attorney
- Archiving legal documents
- Participating in meetings
- Recording minutes of meetings
- Maintenance of internal communications pages, contracts and other documents
- Providing administrative support to Regional Legal and Compliance
- Researching applicable law and/or cases as needed
- Filing insurance claims, acting as liaison between insurance company
- Managing auto insurance claims from start to finish
Qualifications or Skills:
- A Bachelors degree or paralegal certification is preferred. Legal background is a must. Experience with reviewing contracts required.
- Knowledge and experience with Word, specifically the Track Changes function, and redlining PDFs in Foxit and Adobe.
- Must be able to work independently.
