Job Description

The Manufacturing & Facilities Engineer supports Manufacturing, Facilities, Maintenance, Research & Development, Environmental Health & Safety as well as Continuous Improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Engineering, Facilities Maintenance functions
This is a hands-on position working on the production floor around machinery.
Facilities duties will include infrequent, off hour or weekend visits to campus for emergencies.
Support all capital improvement and new product launch initiatives.
Assist maintenance department in trouble shooting production machines and equipment on day-to- day basis.
Create Auto-Cad drawings of tooling, machine parts and plant layouts.
Maintain company goal of (OEE) overall equipment effectiveness month over month.
Create standard operating procedures with groups or individually.
Support all facility functions for the entire campus (indoor and outdoor).
Complete understanding of a production facilities systems (HVAC, mechanicals, pneumatics etc.) required.
Previous facilities management experience preferred.
Environmental, Health & Safety experience and certified OSHA training desired.
Project management duties related to commissioning flat bottom bag machines (cradle to grave).
Develop training documents for pinch seal and flat bottom bag machines for current and future employees.
Become subject matter expert on machine controls to ensure the highest quality of product is produced at maximum efficiency.
Potential transition from first shift to second shift possible, but not required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
In-depth and working knowledge of CAD (Auto-Cad) software is required.
Previous experience in printing or paper converting industry highly desirable.
Excellent interpersonal and communicative skills.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Working knowledge of electronics and electrical concepts up to 480V 3p.
Complete understanding of a production facilities systems (HVAC, mechanicals, pneumatics etc.) required.
Previous facilities management experience preferred.
Environmental, Health & Safety experience and certified OSHA training desired.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This Job operates in a fast-paced production environment.

Must frequently lift, move, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions, adhering always to Fischer Safety Standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
