Handly is revolutionising how customers book their craft services. We are building a digital assistant to help craft businesses manage their work schedule and customers.
We're looking for a DevOps engineer to be part of Handly's core implementation team.
- You will be reporting to the CTO.
- You will be working together with other developers and product owners in a SCRUM environment.
Tasks
You will be expected to:
- configure, deploy, upgrade and maintain current infrastructure hosted in AWS.
- maintain and extend Terraform repositories.
- make decisions regarding the architecture and scalability of apps.
- provide usage and health insights for apps via Elastisearch.
- ensure the high availability of apps.
- advise on and implement infrastructure security best practices.
- provide operational support for things pertaining to infrastructure.
- automate core manual processes.
- manage the company password vault.
- manage and extend security policy across the company.
Requirements
The ideal candidate:
- has 1+ years of working with an infrastructure as code technology i.e. Terraform
- has 3+ years working with AWS, or a bachelor's in computer science and 1+ years AWS.
- has 2+ years working with containerisation and container orchestration i.e. Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS
- is comfortable using GIT and GitHub as source control.
- is able to work within an agile team.
- is able to either work fully remote within the European Union timezone, or hybrid (remote and on-site) from Berlin, Germany.
- has hands-on experience working with multiple code bases both small and large.
- is able to understand and break down large tasks into separate ones.
It counts in your favour to have experience with:
- relational databases i.e. Postgres, MSSQL or MySQL.
- OAuth 2.0 and OIDC
- mobile development i.e. Android, iOS, Flutter, Dart, Fastlane
- web development i.e. Flutter, React
- CircleCI
- Kibana or Elasticsearch
