Position Summary:

As a ML Ops Tech Lead, you'll lead a team dedicated to productionizing online and offline machine learning model pipelines.Youll participate in the design, development, and implementation of machine learning applications.Youll be working with internal engineering team to build state-of-art machine learning infrastructure to ensure scalability, high availability and performance of Machine learning systems while driving operational efficiency to improve overall Data Science output. You'll be expected to stay in touch with the latest technology development and drive implementation of ML Ops/DevOps practices across the organization.
The primary role of the ML Ops Tech Lead is to

Use modern software engineering practices to deploy ML solutions at scale supporting training, production runs and monitoring of ML pipelines

Implement and promote ML Ops best practices, be ML Ops evangelist

Work with Data Science, Engineering and Operations toestablishand maintain productive collaboration

Leading planning and prioritization

Developing and growing the team (hiring, training, mentoring)

Drive continuous improvements in software development, internal processes, and collaboration

Essential Competencies:

Experience with ML algorithms and applications

Perfect understanding of Machine Learning model lifecycle

Excellent data skills and the ability to work with large structured and unstructured data sources (Hadoop is must)

Proficiencyin software development:

SPARK SQL - expert

Python expert

GitHub/GitLab

Kubernetes

Airflow

Scala - optional

Java - optional

Good knowledge of DevOps/ML Ops best practices

Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills

Creative thinker with a vision

Willingness to learn



Basic

Qualifications


5 years of experience in software engineering, Big Data systems or DevOps

Proven ability to handle large datasets

Excellent communications skills

Ability to solve complex, not purely technical, problems

BA in computer science or similar. MA or higher is preferred

Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with a commitment to meeting project deadlines

Well organized and able to manage multiple projects in a fast paced and demanding environment

Work hard, manage work under pressure, and do not desire or require close supervision
