Assistant Professor of Electrical/Computer Engineering
Position summary
The Engineering Department, in the College of Science, Engineering, and Mathematics at Vincennes University, has a faculty opening at the Assistant Professor rank. The Department is seeking applicants to teach a variety of courses at the undergraduate level, including Electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Physics. Beginning in January, 2023, this is a full time, continuing, non-tenure track faculty position, with benefits, reporting to the Chair of the Engineering Department. This position has the potential to become tenure track.
Job Requirements/Experience
Candidates must be able to teach a variety of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Physics courses in an open access college setting. The courses that the candidates are expected to develop and teach include but not limited to Linear Circuits, Digital System Design, Electronics Analysis and Design with Laboratory components. The candidates are also expected to teach undergraduate level programming languages including C, MATLAB, or PYTHON. Furthermore, the candidates should have interest and expertise to teach Physics courses and Laboratories ranging from technical to college level.
Minimum qualification is a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a Masters Degree and 18 graduate hours in Electrical engineering/Computer Engineering.
Knowledge of assessment and data-driven decision making.

Primary responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and technical courses in engineering, computer science and physics.
Serve as an academic advisor, and participate in related student success activities.
Participate in recruitment and retention initiatives and activities.
Participate in the development and implementation of assessment, including learning outcomes, at the course, program, college, and university levels.
Participate in service, including serving on departmental, college, and university committees.
Other duties as assigned.
