Job Description
OEM with a contract manufacturing division that is growing quickly.
ISO AS9100 and soon ISO13485
This Manager provides leadership and supervises SMT engineering, works with design engineering on DFM, support sales on new customer acquisition, oversee manage manufacturing team leaders, technicians, skilled production employees and support staff to achieve objectives of output and quality.
Duties/ Responsibilities
- DfX support working with corporate design engineers and customers
- Oversee engineering 2 Universal SMT lines
- Plan activities and assign work on a daily basis to ensure production schedules are met.
- Direct production setups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
- Identify production problems and develop corrections and improvements.
- Participate in large engineering projects by completing specific tasks.
- Train others on technical systems and processes.
- Maintain equipment
- Create work instructions for operators.
- Preventive Maintenance and Safety Programs for the SMT operation.
- Equipment Specification and procurement
- Support Design Engineering and Sales in relation to SMT operations.
Degree in Engineering or 10 years experience and demonstrated knowledge of SMT engineering and production management.
