Job Description
REMOTE POSITION**
CoLife is seeking a creative and strategic content writer with a high-degree of professionalism to join our team of interns. The content writer will be responsible for writingnew blog posts, guides and marketing copy. Responsibilities include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types and proofreading articles before publication.
Our ideal candidate has a passion for community and an entrepreneurial mindset. They are eager to contribute to a larger team while infusing elements of the things they are most passionate about. It is important individuals have a passion for their respective industry with a willingness to understand, research, and explore the role of small businesses and brands in both local and global markets.
We are seeking an individual with an interest in areas including but not limited to start-ups, non-profit organizations, small businesses, sports, entertainment and creative brands. Candidates with backgrounds in business, communications, marketing, fundraising, public relations, social media, journalism, or community outreach are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Researching, compiling and organizing facts to interview local and virtual sources
- Writing social media posts for company brands and clients
- Writing press releases, fact sheets and media pitches while assisting with PR initiatives
- Writing editorial, SEO-driven content for our website, blog and media sites
- Create copy for digital products like books, infographics and more
- Other functions as determined by management
Requirements:
- Experience/coursework in english, journalism, communications, or creative writing majors
- Ability to prioritize and work both as an individual and as part of a team
- Exceptional organizational skills, with an ability to effectively multitask
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Positive attitude, work effectively in a team structure
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks while also meeting deadlines
