As Head of Retail UK, you become part of our yfood mission by being responsible for Retail growth and strategy in the UK. You will lead the strategic direction for UK retail growth by managing and building our offline retail team, setting strategy for rapid expansion and achieving ambitious growth targets from existing and new key accounts.

You ll take full responsibility for the UK Retail P&L to achieve highly ambitious distribution and revenue targets. You become a part of a highly motivated team with flat hierarchies, quick decision-making processes and a high level of responsibility. yfood offers a strong career path with progression and development opportunities.

YOUR MISSION

  • Full UK Retail P&L responsibility
  • Responsible for managing and building the UK retail team
  • Responsible for setting and implementing channel strategy and targets
  • Identify growth and new business opportunities in the UK retail landscape to maximise distribution of products, with a focus on food/grocery
  • Drive optimal trading margin through detailed analysis of category performance
  • Responsible for strategic relationship management of UK retail partners
  • Lead in commercial proposals and negotiation
  • Provide retail reporting and insights on the UK Retail landscape to stakeholders
  • Act as an interface between our retail partners and relevant yfood HQ department on UK Retail topics
  • Manage effective communication of Brand plans to Retail partners and wholesalers

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • You are based in the UK (within M25 London is ideal) as it is a Hybrid role, with occasional travel to our head office in Munich
  • You possess at least 5+ years of UK retail experience, with a focus on food and grocery
  • You have a track record of winning new Retail accounts like Sainsbury s, Tesco, Boots, Morrisons and sustaining sales growth
  • You possess excellent leadership skills and have experience in managing and building a sales team
  • You have strong commercial acumen and can prepare solid business proposals
  • You have excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • You have strong analytical and conceptual skills and a high affinity for numbers
  • You are ambitious and target-oriented, have big picture thinking and a great problem-solver
