Job Description
ROLE: Sr. BI/EDW Architect-Data Warehouse
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Months
Job Description:
8+ years experience in designing, building, and implementing Data Warehouse and Data Lake solutions across one or more industry leading technology products.
Critical Skills
- Experience in database design providing conceptual, logical, and physical data models including the development of entity-relationship diagrams.
- Strong working knowledge of relational data marts using star schema design.
- Advanced understanding and experience working with enterprise ETL tools.
- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication, and project management skills a must.
- Proficient in translating complex business requirements into technical specifications.
- Provide technical and strategic recommendations in addition to BI/EDW best practice methodologies and procedures.
- Ability to establish operational guidelines, design architectural frameworks, and develop implementation strategies agnostic of technical platform.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of and experience in the Healthcare industry a plus.
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with respect to documentation.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication competency.
- Excellent critical thinking and diagnostic aptitude.
- High capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and ownership for task/project completion.
- Hadoop and/or Cloud computing experience is a plus.
- Experience working with team members to modify designs and models as necessary.
- Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner.
- Must have experience in managing and working with distributed team members.
- Experience with the IBM Infosphere Suite specifically Datastage.
- Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.
- Experience using Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI a plus).
