Description:

Our client, a large investment bank is looking for a Full stack developer with Angular Web UI and Java skills. They are looking for candidates who have significant Web UI experience and light or no services experience: This is an onsite position based in Midtown Manhattan so need candidates who are local and ready to go into the office from Day 1 The role is currently hybrid with 23 days in the office and rest work from home and is subject to change in the future.

Skills Required:

• Strong Web frontend developer (4+ years) with substantial HTML5/Angular experience.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Responsive designs.
• Experience with common libraries (jQuery and Angular/Ember/React) and debugging tools (Chrome Dev Tools, etc.).
• Knowledge of native DOM and Event APIs.
• Good understanding of web performance and how browsers and DOM work.
• Solid experience with unit testing of front-end components.
• Excellent analytical & communication skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with BDD testing and tools.
• Experience with distributed systems architecture concepts such as microservices and micro frontends.
• Experience with software development and collaboration tools (GitHub, Jira/Rally, Confluence, etc.).
• Experience in using GIT for source control management, and Automated Build Deployment tools (e.g.: Jenkins).
• Significant open source or other community contribution.
• Understanding of functional and reactive programming in Java.
• Experience in using Spring Containers (with Spring Boot) for enterprise applications.
• Experience in developing REST APIs using Spring Boot 2.0 (reactive) and skilled in Open API (swagger) specification.
• Experience in relational databases like DB2 or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with unit testing of front-end components.
• Knowledge of (and a passion for) current trends and best practices in architecture, including performance, accessibility, security, and usability.
