Job Description
Title: Data Visualization Designer
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Full Time Role
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Owns overall brand and product design for Foot Locker Data and Analytics Team
- Define data visualization standards across Power BI Dashboards
- Advise on methods to augment and standardize dashboards and visualizations in self-service business intelligence tools.
- Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to verify designs are successfully implemented.
- Work with Product Owners and Developers to clarify goals for new data visualizations.
- Create templates and department/brand guidelines for team to follow and implement.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent visual design skills to support easy interpretation of data and accessibility.
- Effective communication to all levels of stakeholders.
- Establishing best practices for integrating data visualization principles into the design process.
- Use of software tools to create artifacts such as research summaries and prototypes.
- Organizing and managing work independently.
- Knowledge and experience with design tools like Power BI.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Visual Design, Data Analytics, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in software and graphical design, UX, and/or data visualization
- A portfolio of data visualization designs that you are proud to show
- Visual design skills, including layout, color, composition, and data visualization principles.
- Ability to manage and successfully deliver on multiple projects and priorities.
