IT Program Manager- Senior

Job Description

Directs multiple IS projects of a complex nature. Responsible for assembling project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, developing schedules, budget management and coordinating all necessary resources to ensure timely completion of projects.

. Under general supervision, analyzes the enterprise business/technology environment and participates in the overall planning, design, and implementation of the enterprise data governance program. Responsible for program road mapping, assembling project teams, developing schedules, budget/resource management, and coordinating all necessary resources to ensure the timely completion of projects. Job functions include:

Creation of program and project status reports

Cataloging digital assets

Creation of program training materials

Lead the selection, planning, and implementation of a data management platform

Identifying intersection points and interdependencies of other data-related programs (e.g. data services,

data privacy)

Posting Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, public administration, management information systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university AND five years of demonstrated IT experience.

Skills

Experience with data governance and management best practices.

Extensive experience in project management, program management, and budget management

Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation

Ability to adapt communication methods and approaches based on the audience

Strong attention to detail

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

This requisition is vital to the support of the Georgia Institute of Technology's strategic plan. Resources will primarily work remotely and interact with a variety of business and technology units to understand the institution's technology landscape. The resource will be directly aligned to implement foundational efforts for the Institute's strategic plan. As strategic plan initiatives are defined, and in support of GT's growing data ecosystem, the need for additional project management resources will also grow to ensure implementation efforts are planned and executed on time and within budget.
