Senior Accountant

SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions (MBS) is seeking a Senior Accountant for its client in Middletown, NY. The person will be responsible for ensuring that transactions of the company are recorded appropriately. The ideal candidate will have background in manufacturing industries, as well as strong accounting and analytical skills. Hybrid work schedule (work remote up to two days/week) flexibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reconcile and review financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
Post journal entries and account analysis as part for the month-end close.
Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
Assist with performing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
Maintain all fixed assets records.
Support various accounting functions as assigned, including inventory analysis, regulatory filings, management reporting, and cost-savings analysis.
Assist with special projects and ad-hoc reporting at the direction of the management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field is required.
CPA or MBA is highly desired.
3+ years of experience in accounting or finance is required.
Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
