Our client company is seeking an experienced Safety Specialist to support multiple specialty chemical operations.
You must be willing to:
Perform safety advisory/risk prevention for chemical plant site
Update/maintain safety policies/procedures/standards
Conduct routine inspections/audits of the facility for safety compliance
Assist with Safety training of employees/contractors
Conduct safety incident investigations/make policy change recommendations
Prepare site for annual audits
Assist in updating emergency response plans/training
Participate in weekly safety meetings
Assist in the management of plant MSDS/SDS inventory
Administer the use of Personal Protective Equipment
Requirements (IF YOU DONT HAVE THESE, DONT APPLY)
BS in Occupational Health and Safety
3-5+ years specializing in Safety/ Environmental/ Health programs in Chemical/Pharmaceutical/Petrochemical/Refinery plants
Solid technical expertise in PSM/ISO/OSHA/HAZOP/PHA/EPA/DOT programs
CPR First Aid Training required
CSP Certification desired
