A DAY IN THE LIFE:

A senior team member contributing to the design, troubleshooting, documentation and testing of electronic components and systems in the Companys medical devices. Works with mechanical, electronics and software engineers to contribute to the determination of hardware requirements and/or influences on hardware design.


Participates in the research and development of electronic components and systems for the Companys medical device(s), utilizing advanced knowledge of electronic theory and materials properties.

Contributes to planning, design, development, modification and evaluation of electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, electrical systems, equipment and software.

Participates in determining design approaches and parameters.

Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.

Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.

Contributes to the review of vendor capability to support development.

Participates in the evaluation of the reliability of materials, properties and techniques used in production.

Embraces the Design Control process by participating in design reviews and maintaining design history files.

Supports other departments as needed and considers project-wide impacts in decision making.

Confirms completion of required training plan before assuming job responsibilities.


YOURE AWESOME AT:


Has working knowledge of federal and other regulations, e.g. QSRs, ISO 14971 IEC 60601 series.

Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Integration experience in a manufacturing environment, to assist with the transfer of testing methodology to manufacturing.

Competent with MS Office and Internet.

Python experience is a plus.

Able to assert own ideas and persuade others through effectively consolidating, evaluating, and presenting relevant information.

Skilled at promoting team cooperation and a commitment to team success.

Adept at seeing change as an opportunity to improve business performance and campaigning for it when necessary.


EXTRA AWESOME:


Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.

Advanced coursework/Masters in related field desirable.

5 years of experience in the field including detailed design, design testing, testing documentation, and prototype fabrication of biomedical devices, including experience with conceptual design to market release.

Experienced with Good Design Practices.

2 years of Labview experience

Integration experience in a manufacturing environment, to assist with the transfer of testing methodology to manufacturing.

Some experience coordinating activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure the delivery of supplies or services needed to meet scheduled timelines.
