Qualifications:

• This role is accountable for the continued development and maintenance of the Power BI data model(s).
• Additional responsibilities include supporting organization functions (finance, quality, engineering, SIOP, etc.) in the design and development of complex Business Intelligence solutions (reports, dashboards, scorecards) using Microsoft Business Intelligence technology stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) and Power-BI.
• This position will help develop proof of concepts, dashboard and complex reports as well as participate in design reviews and perform code reviews.

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

• Experience of 5+ years in data preparation, data gateway and data warehousing projects.
• 5+ years developing BI reports/dashboards using Microsoft BI/SQL Server technology stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) with data from ERP systems.
• Experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) using Microsoft Integration Services / SSIS is a plus.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in computer science, information technology, or other related field or equivalent experience required.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/PROFICIENCIES:

• Certification in Microsoft PL300 (or DA100) desired.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing business process environment.
• 5+ years of experience as a BI Developer.
• 5+ years of experience with data preparation, data gateway, and data warehousing projects.
• Experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) using Microsoft Integration Services / SSIS is a plus
• Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining
• Working knowledge and experiences in SSIS, SSRS and SQL Server development tools is a plus.
• Working knowledge and experiences in data design / dimensional data modeling.
• Advanced experience in writing DAX measures in Power BI Desktop and creating informative dashboards.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
• Possess proficient analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills including teamwork, facilitation, communication, and the ability to influence.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• This position requires US citizenship or permanent resident status since duties and tasks may include the review and/or analysis of information and technical data subject to certain restrictions regarding export, use, and disclosure including without limitation those included in the US Export Administration Regulations (15 CFR, Chapter VII, Subchapter C).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/TASKS:

• Develop and improve solutions spanning data processing activities from the staging to star schemas and reporting view's / tables and finally into SSAS.
• Power BI development and administration.
• Building Analysis Services reporting models.
• Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop.
• Connecting to data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business Intelligence.
• Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
• Able to implement row level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI.
• Excellent in making DAX measures in Power BI desktop.
• Expertise in using advance level calculations on the data set.
• Responsible for design methodology and project documentation.
• Adept in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements.
• Able to properly understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly
