Full Job Description

Growing label company has openings for a flexographic press operator and a pressroom assistant.

As a flexographic Press Operator, you will operate a flexographic printing press engaged in the production of labels in a safe and efficient manner. This includes the set-up of plates, dies, inks, and coatings as specified, loading substrates onto the press, mix ink colors and wash up press components. You will complete quality checks to ensure that the printed product meets all requirements and record all required production data, and complete basic housekeeping and preventive maintenance tasks. May continuously stand for an extended period and stoop and kneel frequently. Some walking and lifting to 50 lbs required. Vision: close vision, distance, and color vision necessary to distinguish color variations, peripheral and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually medium to loud. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. Must be able to work overtime as required by workload and customer mandated deadlines.

Qualifications:

High School or equivalent (required)

1-3 years of press or printing production experience

1+ years of Flexo Operator experience (preferred)

Basic math and reading skills ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information and procedures

Be able to pass color blindness test as this position requires a good judgement of color to be successful

Ability to meet multiple deadlines

Must be proactive and detail-oriented to catch problems or inconsistencies and bring them to managements attention

Good organization skills to manage multiple different labels each day

Knowledge of press operation and basic troubleshooting
